Dear conservatives,

We gathered all the zero waste advice that we sent you during the year to our newsletters!

Take advantage and do not hesitate to make your feedback on our Instagram or on our Facebook page!

Episode 1:

Flowers, bird songs, fresh fruit everywhere,
This planet is beautiful and we will take care of it!

This is the first episode of a zero waste series that is close to our hearts. If like us, you are sometimes overwhelmed by the challenge shown by zero waste, we would like to give you some advice.
The easiest way to start is to ask the right question during your purchases!
Here are a few, and each time you answer yes, you know what you have to do then ☺

• Can I do it myself?
• Can I buy it on a farmer? Book, etc.?
• Can I buy it in bulk?
• Is it delivered in recyclable packaging?
• Is this plastic recyclable?

Episode 2:

The pots are your new shopping bag!

We're going to talk shopping! Do not panic, it is not a question of spending money, it would even be the opposite, it is a question of getting rid of the packaging! And for that, you absolutely need 2 things: a pot and a reusable bag to transport it. Why do you ask? Well, let's take a closer look!

• Perfect for condiments: from the store to your shelves, avoiding unpacking! It's a simple life, a life in mass. (But if there is no one around you, don't be shy, most market employees and stores will support your initiative)
• For meat and dairy products, it is not only more durable, it is also more tasty and it will last longer if you keep them in glass! So the next time you approach your butcher, fishmonger or cremate, put a big smile on your face and a big pot in his hands!
• Beauty products: Did you know that you could make almost all vanity essentials yourself? From dental treatment to shampoo, including moisturizer, homemade natural recipes flourish and a pot is ideal for keeping them! Besides, the same goes with cleaning products! Yay

Episode 3:

No plastic = summer pleasure!

Now, the third episode of our zero waste series. Today we're going to talk about summer and the little things we can do to reduce our waste!

We know that holidays are a challenge in zero waste. We travel, visit or receive friends, go to the beach or by picnic. These things make it difficult to have a controlle parfait of the situation.

Take airports or stations for example: most catering services use plastic or cardboard packaging. Do you have to forget this coffee you wanted so much? Of course not, you are on vacation and what matters is happiness.

The same goes for picnics or beach holidays! Yes, it is tempting to wrap food in light containers and to use plastic tools, but A. This will change the taste, B. What do you prefer: to have a heavy bag or a heavy impact on the planet?

There are few solutions, and they only imply jars, or glass containers and a little bit of courage: ask the employee / your friend / anyone really, put your meal or drink, once on the ground, rinse it, wrap it back and I feel wonderfully!

Episode 4:

Back to zero waste

Welcome to the fourth episode of our zero waste series. Today we're going to talk about the start -up tips and tricks to reduce our waste!

Let's start with school and professional lunch: would you like to enjoy a fresh, seasonal and plastic meal? Well, the jars are perfect for keeping your delicious homemade plate. Think of salad pots, hot pasta, puree and soup. Name it, prepare it, can can be canned and savor zero waste delicacy!

September is also the ideal period to take care of yourself. Treat your skin, hair and bathroom with homemade and waste products. Did you know that coconut oil and brown sugar are a perfect scrub? Coconut oil and baking soda constitute a powerful toothpaste, and olive oil and honey are dry hair!

There are so many solutions and DIY to get rid of all the plastic in your bathroom, and it only takes a few products, a few pots and a good web browser to make them.

So let's take our good habits at work, and for ourselves!

Episode 5:

Cooking by batch is your price for zero waste kitchen

Going to zero waste is not only good for the planet, it is also good for health but it can sometimes take a little time! So we thought of devoting our fifth episode to a little tip that is both good for the planet and for your well-being: batch-cooking!

The idea is simple, as its name suggests; It's about cooking in larger quantities at a time. Imagine being able to go home every night and having dinner on the table in 5 to 10 minutes: it looks like a fantasy, right? Well, it's quite doable and it's great to reduce waste (and energy).
With this method, you only have to block 2 to 3 hours a day that suits you, like a free Saturday afternoon, a quiet Sunday morning or a Monday evening activity.

The first step is to mentally plan your meals, then shop. The big advantages are:

• You will only have to make a single passage to the grocery store (it will reduce your carbon impact my friend)
• You can buy exactly what you need! (More sad rotten vegetables not cooked on the counter).
• In addition, the more you buy large quantities, the less you will have any packaging!

Then, and this is where it becomes serious, you cook: think of big casseroles, tons of soups, compotes, and other accompanying dishes! Each week, set a goal, a recipe to try (we have a lot on our site) and respect your schedule. Once cooking is finished, put everything in jars, label it, store it in your shelves/cupboards.

At the end of the month, you will have delicious jars stored everywhere, and delicious dishes to feed your crowd every night of the week!

You will save time spending with your loved ones, you will save energy to do new activities, you will earn money and you will have a good impact on the planet. If this is not the beginning of a happy life, we do not know what it is!

Episode 6:

Zero waste: Christmas 101

Going to zero waste does not mean that you must transform into scrooge for Christmas! It can be a little difficult, certainly, but with a little elbow oil, imagination and some ingredients (the pots are part of the equation), you can always decorate, make a wonderful dinner and offer wonderful gifts!

For the food part, we have tons of cooked dishes here - approved by France!

For the gift game, here are some #zerotchet ideas that everyone would like to receive!

Look for-or better yet-make craft gifts: candles, photos, jewelry baskets, etc.

Buy large delicacies and offer them in small pots (we hear that coffee beans are very successful!) Or even better make pastries in reusable containers (index n ° 1: the jars, perfect, say it. Index n ° 2: see above for recipes)

Bouquet of fresh flowers (so pretty in Le Parfait ;))

DIY beauty products (sugar scrubs, body butter, bath salts etc. You can prepare them all in pots, with only a few ingredients!)

Spend a wonderful Christmas "I save time, money and the planet" Dear conservatives :)

Episode 7:

Zero waste: lunch time!

Last year, we focused on the small changes you can bring to the house or during your rest periods to live a more respectful life of the environment! This year, we would like to challenge you a little more and take up the challenge of zero waste outside the house. First thing on the program: working lunch.

This may seem delicate, but it is actually quite simple: just forget the too packed take-out sandwiches, forks and plastic drinks and make follies with easy salad jars! Marie Claire Uk's team tried it for a week last year with Le Parfait, And they discovered that he was not only more durable, but also more tasty than most pre-prepared foods! Take a look here.

And if you need inspiration, our friends from El Pot in Barcelona are a bit of the queens of salad pots! Consult their magnificent Instagram here.

It’s a little gesture for a man, but a huge gift for humanity!
