Et vous, l’abricot, vous l’avez dans la peau ?

And you, apricot, do you have it in your skin?

And you, apricot, do you have it in your skin?

Cultivated in all Mediterranean countries, the United States and South America, the apricot loves heat! From July, it pushes perfectly with us, especially in Languedoc Roussillon and in the Rhône Valley, the main producers in France.

Very rich in provitamin A, fiber and potassium, apricot is very good for health and carotene that is also suitable for sunbathing!

Did you know that apricot has been known in China for 4000 years?
And that its culture in France began thanks to the gardener of Louis XVII who had apricot trees in the Versailles garden (we can thank him!)?

To choose them well, give yourself to their good perfume, but know that it will not keep themselves very long, so you have to consume it quickly and think of making jars without delay in order to put aside. The apricot keeps very well in the syrup and you can bring them out later to enhance a pie or a cake. Also think of jams, and compotes and chutneys ... and yes, everything is possible with apricot!

Do not hesitate to vary the flavors by accompanying it with vanilla, cinnamon or a lemon zest to give it a touch of originality.
